EU workers - the inspiring protagonists
In the story of our agency, EU workers are the inspiring protagonists. As talented professionals from various European countries, they bring a rich diversity of skills and cultures. Together, we build a shared vision where flexibility and international expertise come together to enrich the workforce. Our EU workers, as ambassadors of collaboration, bring not only talent but also a unique world of experience and dedication to each assignment. In our world, they are the bridge between boundless possibilities and the realization of collective success.

Our HR professionals have worked in our sector for years. Thanks to their employee branding research from 2010 to the present, we can select the most suitable employees for you as an organisation. Satisfaction, quality (the selection is demanding) and the experience of the employees rank high with us. The combination of these 3 elements is what creates the skilled professionals within our organisation!
Employee portfolio
All our employees speak English and/or German, can read drawings, have at least 5 years of experience in their profession, hold a certificate of good conduct, VCA and, if desired, custom tools.
Our vision
An expanding Europe with free movement of labor and services. This has a tremendous impact on our labor market and on our society as a whole. Hundreds of thousands of EU workers have now found their way to the Dutch labor market. In the early years of the free market, this mainly involved low-skilled and repetitive work. Everyone knows the stories of the Poles in the Dutch horticultural sector. Also, all the misunderstandings that came with it. Meanwhile, the market is quite regulated, with exceptions.
At this moment, we can no longer speak of the Dutch labor market, but we must always think in terms of a EU labor market. If the government determines its policy based on the Dutch situation without recognizing the European reality, this will lead to failed policies and increasing unemployment.
EU labor market
In the EU, two phenomena go hand in hand. The international economic crisis is coming to an end, and as a result, more and more new jobs are emerging. Due to the aging population, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find workers. Recruiting workers from across the EU is a good alternative, especially in the EU where the free movement of citizens is highly valued.
National labor markets are becoming increasingly international. More and more people work in another country. Working abroad is becoming easier, more accessible, and more attractive.
Guidance
Working in another country requires the necessary care and guidance. The rules are different, the culture is different, and the way of working is sometimes a bit different. We not only make it possible for people to work in another country, but we also ensure perfect and respectful guidance.
Employment
The original goal of the EU was not low unemployment but to create monetary stability. One of the tools the Dutch government had to stimulate employment was monetary intervention. Since this is now handed over to the EU, we no longer have this possibility, and there can be no regional policy within the EU. Everywhere in the EU, we currently see unemployment decreasing. Low-skilled work is first moved to countries with low wages. The next step that is increasingly being taken is the automation of low-skilled work. What can be automated, will be automated. This has consequences for employment, especially for low-skilled labor.
Legislation
In the Netherlands, legislation is such that everyone doing comparable work should receive a comparable compensation. This is laid down in various collective labor agreement (CAO) agreements. In addition, there is a minimum wage for positions and companies that are not part of a collective labor agreement.
In the Netherlands, there are fewer and fewer young people opting for a technical or construction vocational education. However, this trend is currently changing. The value of good craftsmanship is increasingly on the agenda, and skilled workers are being trained again. The shortage of skilled workers is a significant cause of the influx of workers from Eastern Europe.
Selection
Thanks to our seasoned professionals in the field, we have an extensive EU network, allowing us to quickly provide the right personnel.
Of course, we adhere to all legal requirements and collective labor agreement obligations.
Our employees have the right documents, good mobility, and excellent housing. 'Pay peanuts, get monkeys' is an old saying with much truth in it.
Royal DS personnel service focuses on EU workers active in construction, technology, and shipping. We increasingly mediate in highly skilled migrants, so-called knowledge workers. As we now have expertise in various areas, we, together with our EU partners, can assume responsibility for entire projects, taking on leadership and supervision. In addition to bringing labor migrants to the Netherlands, Royal DS personnel service is also active in Germany, Belgium, Spain, etc. There, we have the specific permits required to operate.
